The Terror series from Orange has enjoyed great popularity for a long time. As the name suggests, these are somewhat gain-heavy amps that are intended more for rock and metal than for shimmering clean sounds. After the popular and proven Tiny Terror, Orange has now expanded the series to include, among other things, the Terror Bass head and the Dual Terror head , which are of course entirely in the tradition of the Terror series and, unlike most other Orange amplifier model, in one come with a sturdy metal housing. The sound is of course the unmistakably British distortion sound that made Orange Amplification famous.
Orange Amplification was founded in London in 1968 by Cliff Cooper. The Brit had previously had initial success with the development of one of the first headphones preamplifiers. When the first Orange amplifier model and speaker cabinets came onto the market in late 1968, their eye-catching color / finish and frame design of the amplifier cabinets and speaker cabinets marked a revolution in amplifier design.
