The ASTRO-20 is a three-channel, four-"Galaxy" combo that combines an authentic all-tube tone with the ideal characteristics demanded by today’s modern guitarist. Mike Soldano designed this sonic powerhouse as a fully featured, versatile 20-watt guitar amplifier. The ASTRO-20 can also be used as a standalone head without a cabinet, making it ideal for live gigs with larger cabinets. Thanks to the DSP-driven IR cabinet simulation, you can also use it for rehearsals and studio work.

The simple front-panel design of the ASTRO-20 lets you save any combination of channels, Galaxies and IRs and recall them quickly with the included 4-button MIDI footswitch. The freely downloadable Soldano Editor software makes organising presets and loading your own IRs simple and fast. Despite its incredible control options, the ASTRO-20 remains an uncomplicated all-tube amp powered by two 6V6 power tubes and four 12AX7 preamp tubes.

The Clean channel, or Green Galaxy, is a high-headroom circuit that recalls classic American combo amplifiers. It delivers crystal-clear to slightly pushed, snappy tones, adjustable with a single Tone control and a 3-way Bright switch. Overdrive 1 and Overdrive 2 have independent Volume and Gain controls with a shared 3-band EQ. The Blue, Purple and Red Galaxies can be independently assigned to either Overdrive 1 or Overdrive 2 and saved for instant recall.
The Blue Galaxy ranges from bluesy cleans to fat, punchy hard-rock sounds. The Purple Galaxy picks up where the Blue leaves off, offering more gain and a firmer response. The Red Galaxy takes you on a journey inspired by Soldano’s iconic lead tones and launches you into a phenomenal high-gain universe. The Blue, Purple and Red Galaxies can be assigned independently to Overdrive 1 or Overdrive 2 and saved for immediate recall.
