With the highly successful and popular Katana range, Boss has not only secured a firm place in the modelling amp sector but has also grown to become the world's second-largest manufacturer of electric guitar amplifiers. With the Katana MKII models they now send their popular amp range into the second round. In addition to tried-and-tested features, these also bring several new additions.
The five amp models, from Clean to High Gain, now feature a switchable sound variation per amp model, providing effectively ten instead of five basic sounds. The number of effect sections that can be used simultaneously has also been increased to five. This allows even more freedom for creative tone shaping, similar to a pedalboard. The sections are split into Boost, Mod, FX, Delay and Reverb, each with three variations. As usual, the Katana amps can have their output power reduced to adjust the volume to your surroundings, whether on a big stage or at home late at night.
Also new are a power amp input, a stereo expansion and a revised editor software, Boss Tone Studio, which provides access to 60 different effect types and four independent effect chains. There you can also choose between the three different resonance types Vintage, Modern and Deep for the speaker emulation.
