As a further development of the popular POD, POD XT and POD HD series , Line 6 finally brought the HELIX, the flagship of the range and a new light (or many small lights) to stages and recording studios around the world. Rarely has such an extensive range of amplifier simulations, speakers and IRs as well as effects been shown in such a stage and everyday format . It was more than an evolution in modeling, it was a revolution in the way future devices of this type should look, function and, most importantly, sound. In good Line 6 fashion, however, it didn't end there. While the hardware remains largely unchanged, the software is continuously improved through free updates for customers. A HELIX customer gets a device that is just as modern today as it was when it was released, and can continue to look forward to new features, new amps, new speakers and new effects . Using the free Line 6 Edit software , users can also control their Helix directly from their computer, making it even easier to create sounds .
In addition to the flagship HELIX, a variety of products are also released under the HX label that offer a smaller feature set but always the same outstanding sound . HELIX LT offers slightly stripped-down hardware with the same sound options as its big brother. HX Effects delivers hundreds of modulation effects, drives, reverbs, delays and the like to anyone who doesn't need amp simulation. The smallest, full-featured HX model, the HX Stomp, is particularly popular. In a enclosure that only takes up a fraction of the HELIX, Line 6 offers a fully comprehensive sound processor that brings all the sounds of the HX series and fits on every pedalboard. Line 6. Hardly any name is more associated with modeling and innovative sound design than the Californian sound company. The brand took off with the famous red “bean”, the Line 6 Pocket POD , in the early 2000s. This meant that musicians could suddenly access a wide range of amplifier model and effect sounds in the recording studio without having to set up complex setups and microphones. “Modelling” suddenly found itself in the mainstream, found on almost every studio console or delivered sounds to headphones at home. At session , the POD series is still a top seller today, adding new features such as improved sound, significantly more amp models and hundreds of effects in every generation, POD 2.0, POD XT, POD HD500. Current models like the Line 6 POD GO also offer the option of using multiple rigs at the same time and playing complex sounds with multiple amplifiers and effects at the same time.
For professionals , Line 6 expanded the product portfolio in 2015 to include Helix, a type of high-end POD with endless options for precisely adjusting the perfect sounds. With professional routing options, displays on the footswitches to show the current setup and the most realistic sound in LINE 6 history to date, the Helix can still be found on stages and in studios around the world today.
