This year too, we made our way to Guttenstetten with a small team to report to you first-hand and pretty much as the first address in German-speaking countries about the new products from Ibanez .
As in previous years , Olli roams the hallowed halls of Ibanez and throws together with the product specialist Daniel keep an eye on the most important new models and series. We'll show you what highlights are waiting for you this year live and in color / finish in our amusing videos 😉
Ibanez innovations 2024: electric guitars from the Gio, standard and premium edition
We begin our journey through the Ibanez showroom in Olli's favorite area: the electric guitars. As every year, the well-known AZ, RG, GRG and S series have been expanded to include new models and designs . Of all the electric guitar lines, the RG series has seen the largest increase in numbers. These are both tried and tested models in new finishes, such as the RGT1221PB in exciting Stained Wine Red, as well as new models , such as the unusually colorful RG470DX models and the RG421S .
The AZ series still offers high-quality electric guitars, and there will be new models and colors to marvel at here in 2024. In addition to the more expensive guitars, the AZ Essentials series is also being expanded to include another model : the affordable AZES31 in Arctic Ocean Metallic is particularly aimed at beginners and offers many useful features that make learning to play easier.
Likewise, metal fans among beginners will be looking forward to two new models from the GRG series , also known as the Gio series, which are particularly affordable and impress with the best workmanship . There are also several new instruments in all price ranges in the S series . The new guitars come with either HSH or HH components. The more expensive models also have a Floyd Rose vibrato system. All S guitars have figured tops made of cloud maple or burl poplar , available in eye-catching finishes like Dragon Eye Burst or Cosmic Blue Frozen Matte.

Ibanez new products for 2024: GRG and RG models all in black
Of course, Ibanez has thought about how they can make hardcore fans and metal enthusiasts happy again this year. The result is a new model range within the popular RG series , which is characterized by Modern ST-style bodies and a continuous neck construction . These guitars are all painted black, with a thin, matte finish. From the 6-string to the 7-string to the 8-string guitar , every shredder is served here, and there is of course something for everyone in terms of price, with the GRGR330EX-BKF there is even a cheap Gio model.

Ibanez new products 2024: acoustic guitars and ukuleles
The FRH series , introduced last year, is being continued in two new, trendy colors. What immediately catches the eye, or doesn't catch the eye, is the missing sound hole on the front. The thinline model has been given a sound port that radiates upwards towards the player. In combination with the top made of Sitka spruce , a loud and beautiful sound of its own develops.
Acoustic guitars won't be neglected in 2024 either: the AE series will be expanded to include further models in the low and mid-price segment. The Advanced Acoustic series is expanding to include several models with Advanced Auditorium bodies and sound ports . After the Dreadnought, a smaller model is now being introduced. Here, too, every guitarist should find a suitable partner in terms of price.
This year's Ibanez ukuleles are an absolute novelty: the concert ukulele AUC10E-OPN and the guitar ukulele AUP10N-OPN are equipped with a sound port , an armrest and a bevel cutaway and therefore have an ergonomic design that many professional players will be happy about . We are really excited about these new instruments!

Ibanez innovations 2024: basses
Of course, there will be numerous new electric basses from Ibanez to marvel at again in 2024! The BTB model is celebrating its 25th birthday and to coincide with the silver anniversary there are two new special models in the Silver Blizzard Matte color / finish , the 5-string BTB25TH5-SLM and the 6-string BTB25TH6-SLM . The TMB series, which is particularly popular with beginners, has also been expanded with two new models that take the series to a new level in terms of quality. The Soundgear or SR series for short has several new solid body models, plus two semi-hollow models with a very interesting, fresh look.
The EHB series in particular is once again attracting a lot of attention with its headless models and their grained ceilings in impressive colors such as Stained Red or Florid Natural. With 4-, 5- and 6-string models as well as fanfret versions , every bass player will find their right partner here.
