Yamaha RS02CB Honey Gold
Yamaha RS02CB Honey Gold
A true gem: Chris Buck Signature
The Yamaha RS02CB Chris Buck Signature is designed for guitarists who value expression, dynamics, and character. Developed in close collaboration with Chris Buck (Cardinal Black, Buck & Evans), this Revstar signature model combines modern design with a classic soul, blues, and rock vibe.
Body
At the heart of the RS02CB is a chambered mahogany body paired with a maple top, delivering a warm, resonant foundation with excellent balance and clarity. The set-in neck construction, combined with the classic 24 3/4" scale length, provides a familiar and comfortably smooth playing feel.
Neck
The three-piece mahogany neck with carbon reinforcement offers excellent stability and reliability, while the rosewood fingerboard, 12" radius, and jumbo stainless steel frets ensure effortless bending, precise intonation, and long-lasting performance. The satin neck finish feels fast and natural—perfect for dynamic playing.
Tone
Tonally, the RS02CB is equipped with specially voiced VP5 P-90 style pickups featuring Alnico III magnets. They deliver a powerful midrange, open highs, and exceptional touch sensitivity—perfect for bluesy lines, soulful rhythm parts, and expressive leads. The streamlined electronics with master volume, master tone, and a 3-way selector switch keep the focus firmly on playing and tone.
Hardware & Finish
The TonePros AVT2 wraparound bridge delivers excellent sustain and outstanding tuning stability. High-quality hardware and factory-installed Elixir Nanoweb strings (10–46) make the guitar ready to play straight out of the case—whether in the studio or on stage.
The instrument is completed by the elegant Honey Gold high-gloss finish: a modern classic with a vintage soul, designed for guitarists seeking maximum expression.
Experience the Yamaha Revstar RS02CB live in action
For the launch of the new Revstar series, Cardinal Black came together with vocalist Tom Hollister, drummer Adam Roberts, bassist Sam Williams, and guitarist Chris Buck at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales.
Guitarists around the world know Chris Buck both for his virtuosic playing and for his popular “Friday Fretworks” videos on YouTube. This makes him the ideal ambassador for the new Revstar series. Chris has been playing Yamaha Revstar guitars for several years and worked closely with the luthiers at Yamaha Guitar Development in California on the development of his own custom model.

Yamaha or A Company That Makes Everything . In fact, you could list more quickly what Yamaha doesn't make. The Japan-based company Yamaha, which has been active for over 125 years, is the jack-of-all-trades among instrument manufacturers. It started out as a producer of pianos and grand pianos and even wooden furniture, but the range has expanded considerably: Yamaha now offers keyboard instruments, string instruments, wind instruments, drums and percussion as well as PA and studio accessories. You will find, for example, western guitars, electric guitars, electric basses, the popular PSR keyboards, acoustic drum sets and electric drum sets or transverse flutes and saxophones in the beginner and advanced range as well as the popular Clavinova CLP-700 digital pianos and entertainer keyboards such as the Genos or the Yamaha MX49 synthesizer, PA equipment and studio monitors for professional demands. In any case, you can always rely on Yamaha to provide excellent value for money.
