The New Generation

Yamaha 's Revstar series is expanding with three new models: Element , Standard and the Made-in-Japan Professional . However, you could also describe the new models as bolides, because the guitars in the Revstar series - which were launched in 2015 - bridge two of Yamaha's core businesses. They are based on the brand's electric guitar design heritage on the one hand and Yamaha motor Co. Ltd.'s motorcycle design heritage on the other.

To continue the legacy, all new cars feature a chambered body developed using Yamaha 's Acoustic Design process. Using advanced measurement techniques, Yamaha developed the “Chamber Pattern” to specifically shape the tone and increase resonance. At the same time, this tuning technique reduces the weight and optimizes the balancing of the guitar.

In order to ultimately bring the output to the street or rather, to the stage, all Revstar models have unique switching options. The Revstar Element electric guitars feature the Dry Switch high pass filter introduced with the original series. Revstar Standard and Professional models, which are available with either humbuckers or P90-style single-coil pickups , have the focus switch on board. Behind this is a passive boost function that produces the sound of “overwound” pickups. In addition, there is a unique 5-way circuit that can produce classic “intermediate sounds” under the hood of the new racer.
