Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV1

The 2-channel controllers fits perfectly with the free Serato DJ Lite software and features a brand new battle-style layout that is not only very easy to use, but also perfect for DJing like a professional DJ.

The spacious layout offers plenty of space to try out mixing techniques. Scratching also feels great with the jog wheels, not least because they are significantly larger than the jog wheels on previous controllers in this class. If you're thinking about getting into battle mixing and scratching - and streaming your sets at the same time - the DDJ-REV1 is the perfect tool to start the journey.

You can start straight away with Tracking-Scratch, because it makes scratching child's play and is a lot of fun. This handy function automatically returns the track to the cue point as soon as you move the jog wheel from backwards to forwards or remove your hand. You don't have to move the crossfader or worry about rewinding to the starting point of the scratch with the jog wheel. To do this, simply select the desired scratch crossfader cuts pattern by pressing the corresponding performance pad and move the jog wheel forward to scratch. If you like, you can also use the controller's performance pads to instantly trigger favorite samples or tracks that were previously loaded into the scratch bank in Serato DJ Lite. This was previously only available in Serato DJ Pro. It is also possible to play sounds from all four decks in the software via Deck 3/4 Control.

If you want to share your sets with friends and followers on social media via a stream, you can now refine it with language and singing. Simply connect a microphone to the controllers and get started. An external sound card or mixer is not required, the sound is transmitted directly to the laptop and the stream.

Brand new layout for intuitive performances
The interface emulates two PLX turntables and a DJM-S series mixer - a typical setup used by professional battle DJs.

Battle style setup
The DDJ-REV1's new controls layout provides plenty of space for mixing and scratching techniques. The tempo sliders, arranged horizontally above the decks, are 60mm longer than the DDJ-SB3, allowing for finer control. The performance pads have been moved to the mixer section to intuitively combine effects , trigger samples and scratch tracks.

Larger jog wheels
The larger jog wheels are, the better they are for scratching. The DDJ-REV1's jog wheels are the same size as those of the popular DDJ-SR2 controller, which comes from a higher series from Pioneer DJ .

Lever FX
You can add texture to music very dynamically using the Lever FX in the Mixer section. To do this, pull the levers down and hold them down to apply Serato DJ Lite effects in short intervals. If the levers are pushed up, the effects are permanently active and your hands are free for scratching or track browsing.

With tracking scratch, scratching is even easier
The DDJ-REV1 makes scratching more fun. You'll still need to hone your scratching skills, but the tracking scratch function silently returns the music to the cue point as soon as you move the jog wheel from backwards to forwards or remove your hand. This saves you having to pull down the fader and search for the right place in the music to start the scratch again. To do this, simply select the tracking scratch pad mode, press a performance pad to select the desired scratch crossfader cuts pattern and then move the jog wheel.

Simply mix: Add your own voice via microphone when streaming
For the first time in a Pioneer DJ controllers of this class, the sound of a connected microphone can also be output via the master output. Without any additional external equipment, a sound card or a separate mixer, it is possible to add language or singing to a performance and route it to the computer. All sounds are sent to Serato DJ Lite from where they can be streamed.

Integration with Serato DJ Lite: Get the most out of the free software
As soon as the Serato DJ Lite is running on a PC/Mac after the free download, it can simply be connected to the DDJ-REV1 using the included USB cable and then start DJing immediately. Thanks to the controller's buttons, controls, faders and jog wheels, the various functions and effects in the software can be controlled very sensitively.

Scratch Bank pad mode allows you to instantly load scratch samples from four banks previously assigned in Serato DJ Lite or Pro. All you have to do is tap the special scratch bank button. It is also possible to load sounds from a specific starting point, for example to drop entire tracks into the running mix.
