Brand new & motorized: The VINYLIZED JOGs offer a real vinyl feeling
At the heart of each DDJ-REV7 deck is the new 7-inch motorized jog wheel, which has the same rotational stability as a 12-inch turntable and feels like playing real records. The acrylic top has a vinyl-like finish that provides the fingers with perfect grip. The torque can be adjusted from low to high, and two slip sheets are also included for each deck. This creates the optimal playing feeling when hanging up. The jog wheels run at either 33⅓ or 45 rpm and the stop time setting determines the deck's stopping behavior as soon as the pause button is pressed. The music can then either stop immediately or fade out gradually, like turning off an analog record player.

On-jog display: Always keep an eye on all important information
In the middle of each jog wheel there is a 3.5-inch LCD display on which all important information is always in view. This means you don't have to constantly look back and forth between the decks and the laptop. Thanks to the omnidirectional viewing angle, the displays can be read from any angle . The digital marker that shows the current playback position can also be turned off. If you prefer something different, simply use the stickers provided to mark the jog wheels.

  • In this mode, not only the overall waveform of the track on each deck is displayed, but also the detailed waveforms of the tracks on both decks side by side. This enables quick and intuitive adjustments. It also displays BPM, playback speed (tempo), remaining or elapsed time, the digital playback point marker (which can be turned off), and the quantity of beats in the loop (if a loop is playing).

With the three brand new Beat FX , track transitions get more drama. There are a total of 22 Beat FX to choose from, which are triggered with the corresponding controllers.

New Beat FX:

• Duck Down: A roll effect that fades out as the pitch is lowered.
• Fill Out: A roll effect that forms a roll with a changing rhythm pattern and fades out with echo .
• Helix Out: An effect that samples the input sound and repeatedly fades it out like a reverb while increasing playback speed and pitch.

If you pull the effect controls down and hold them down, you can apply effects from Serato DJ Pro again and again for a short time. If you move the effect controls up, the effects remain activated and your hands are free for scratching or track browsing. The effects are stored in four FX banks and can be triggered without delay. Editing is easily done using the setting utility on a PC/Mac. In addition to the currently used effect , it is possible to trigger up to six additional FX via Serato DJ Pro. • Silent Cue: When the jog wheel “turntable” starts running, the music will also slowly ramp up to the correct speed . However, if you want to start the music immediately, like with a hot cue, you activate silent cue, simply select a hot cue and then press the play button on the deck. Now it sounds like you are pressing a cue point on a DJ player.
