Pioneer DJ introduces the DDJ-REV5 scratch-style controllers . Compatible with Serato DJ Pro and rekordbox, this dual-channel controllers offers an authentic scratch experience and a host of innovative features that enable more creative DJ performances in many formats.

The DDJ-REV5 is equipped with large jog wheels, which, in conjunction with the robust and elegant MAGVEL FADER, enable delicate and precise scratching. The long tempo controls run horizontally across the deck sections, while the performance pads and Lever FX are placed in the mixer section, replicating the setups beloved by open format DJs around the world.

The controllers also features unique stems control buttons for live mashups and remixes, allowing you to individually play or mute different parts of a track: for example, the drums or the vocals.

For even more creativity, the DDJ-REV5 features the first-ever Auto BPM transition for seamless mixing of tracks at different BPMs. This brand new function adjusts the tempo of a track over a set quantity of beats without any discernible transition, giving you complete freedom when selecting songs and not being bound by BPM ranges.

The new Piano Play offers an unparalleled musical experience where you can trigger a cue point in different semitones, with the pitch changes arranged on the 16 performance pads . Just like you know from the layout of a piano keyboard.

The DDJ-REV5 is compatible with Serato DJ Pro and rekordbox. To start DJing, simply connect the controllers to a PC/Mac running your chosen application .

Large jog wheels and MAGVEL FADER for dynamic scratching
The DDJ-REV5 combines an authentic scratching experience with innovative functions, allowing intuitive scratching, battling and performing. The large jog wheels are responsive, reliable and easy to use - with a feel like classic CDJs. Thanks to its display with playback position indicator, you always know where you are in the track. The jog feel can be adjusted to find a perfect jog wheel “weight”. The MAGVEL FADER is sophisticated, robust and ready to implement even the smallest movement. Ideal for precise scratching.

Scratch-style layout – for true open-format freedom
The DDJ-REV5's long tempo controls run horizontally across the deck sections, while the performance pads and lever effects are placed in the mixer section for dynamic performances . This emulates the PLX series deck and DJM-S mixer setups loved by open format DJs around the world. Thanks to the proximity of pads, levers and faders, it is very easy to combine scratching with pad playing and effects.

Dedicated buttons for easy stems control
Use the DDJ-REV5's stem buttons to let your creativity run wild and create live mash-ups and remixes. The tracks are divided into different stems in the software - vocals, melody, bass and drums in Serato DJ Pro or vocals, drums and inst (other instruments including bass and synthesizers) in rekordbox - which can then be played separately.

Stems Mute/Solo
You can solo or mute the different stems to create your own mash-ups. For example, it would be possible to play the instruments from a track on Deck 1 and then play the vocals from another track on Deck 2 to create a mash-up.

Separate stems
To create live remixes, you can isolate different stems of a track. It is then possible, for example, to play the instruments of a track on deck 1 while scratching the vocals on deck 2. Or you can isolate a stem so that you can only edit it with an effect .

Stems level
The EQ controls are used to adjust the volume for individual stems of a track.

The various stems can be used in combination with Deck Move, allowing easy movement of tracks between decks. Dual Deck allows you to use the two left or right decks at the same time. This makes it easy to create and control multiple live mash-ups and remixes at the same time.

New: Auto BPM transitions for smooth mixing
Thanks to the new Auto BPM Transition function , the DDJ-REV5 makes it easy to switch between music genres with very different tempos. After choosing the quantity of bars for the transition, press the corresponding button and the current track will now gradually change its tempo to match the track loaded on the other deck. This makes it easy to fade in or drop the new track at the perfect moment. Since the BPM of the new track matches that of the previous track, the transition is seamless. If you like, you can also apply stems, auto-loop and key lock control to the transition. These automatic processes leave your hands free for other promotions because you don't have to adjust the tempo controls manually.

New Piano Play mode for intuitive musical performances
Thanks to the new piano play mode, you can express yourself musically on the DDJ-REV5 even more naturally than before. Just like pitch Play, it is possible to use the 16 performance pads to trigger a cue point in different semitones. However, the pitch changes are now arranged so that the pads form a keyboard , with the "white" keys on the bottom row and the "black" ones at the top, as if playing a piano. There are three scales to choose from and the improved arrangement of the tones ensures that you can play a melody even without any knowledge of music theory or scales.

Connection variety: Various inputs and outputs & 2 x USB type-C for smooth DJ transitions
Thanks to its numerous inputs and outputs, including an XLR master output perfect for use in professional environments, the DDJ-REV5 becomes the center of a larger setup. There are two USB type-C connections for connecting to PC and Mac. This makes DJ handovers child's play: all you need to do is move the switch on the controllers .

Plug and play compatibility with Serato DJ Pro and rekordbox
Simply select your favorite software and start DJing immediately. The DDJ-REV5 can be connected to a PC/Mac running the latest version of Serato DJ Pro or rekordbox to use both applications for free. No license key or subscription is required. A voucher for the Serato pitch 'n Time DJ Expansion Packet is also included.

The DDJ-REV5's unique design pays homage to open format DJing and scratch culture. This opens the door to new creativity. The finish of the jog wheels feels like a vinyl record, giving you an authentic feeling when scratching. The faders section is protected by a robust metal plate that can withstand intensive scratch maneuvers. The dedicated buttons for control stems are line-shaped to visually represent how a track is made up of four elements. Combo pad mode
If you press two different pad mode buttons at the same time, you can use both modes at the same time. The various functions are divided between the pads of the deck (one mode is assigned to the bottom four pads , the other to the top four). You can choose from hot cue roll, saved loop and sampler.
