Das Pedal bietet einen fetten, warmen High-Gain-Sound mit straffem Attack und satter Kompression. Und das ist genau der charakterstarke dichte und wuchtige Sound, der in den 90s und frühen 2000ern unzählige Künstler in seinen Bann zog, von berühmten Rockbands bis hin zu Metal- und Nu-Metal-Bands. Bei halb aufgedrehten Gain-Potis erzeugt das Pedal einen kraftvollen, warmen Crunchsound mit viel Attack, der vollem Classic-Rock-Gitarristen entgegen kommt.
Je mehr das Gain aufgedreht wird desto dicker wird der Ton und gewinnt an Bass sowie Sustain. Bei Rec To Distortion steht Einfachheit im Mittelpunkt. Die passive Zweiband-Klangregelung (Bass und Treble) ist perfekt abgestimmt, um den Klang des Pedals an die jeweilige Gitarre oder Spielweise anzupassen, während mit den Gain- und Lautstärkereglern die Intensität und der Charakter des Zerrsounds angepasst werden können. Das Pedal kann mittels True Bypass komplett aus dem Signalweg genommen werden.
