With the Hoof Fuzz , EarthQuaker Devices was inspired by the classic, “Russian” Big Muff Pi. The Hoof Germanium/Silicon hybrid fuzz creates a natural and overtone-rich sustain. The sound spectrum ranges from dirty overdrive to monstrous fuzz. The shift controls acts as a “secret weapon” to change the frequency response of the tone control; hollow-sounding “scooped mids fuzz sounds” are also possible with this. The Hoof Fuzz is fully analog, has a true bypass and is handcrafted in Ohio/USA. The Hoof V2 has a silent, relay-based soft-touch footswitch.
