Line 6. Hardly any name is more associated with modeling and innovative sound design than the Californian sound company. The brand took off with the famous red “bean”, the Line 6 Pocket POD , in the early 2000s. This meant that musicians could suddenly access a wide range of amplifier model and effect sounds in the recording studio without having to set up complex setups and microphones. “Modelling” suddenly found itself in the mainstream, found on almost every studio console or delivered sounds to headphones at home. At session , the POD series is still a top seller today, adding new features such as improved sound, significantly more amp models and hundreds of effects in every generation, POD 2.0, POD XT, POD HD500.
