A favorite among guitarists for three decades, the BOSS ME series combines the power of multi-effects with practical control to create sounds in seconds. The ME-90 is the most advanced ME model yet, offering exceptional audio quality with 24-bit AD/DA and 32-bit floating point processing, flagship-quality AIRD amplifiers, IR, an effects loop and much more. The BOSS ME-90 is an all-in-one processor. Extremely compact, battery-operated and full of first-class BOSS sounds with individual setups for every playing situation.
With its intuitive interface and wide selection of effects, the ME-90 allows the guitarist the ability to create configurations and customize sounds with the ease of a pedalboard filled with stompboxes. There are 30 different controls on the control panel for selecting categories and adjusting sounds . There are 36 preset patches with ready-to-play pro sounds, plus 36 user patches for saving personal setups.
The BOSS ME-90 features an extensive library of BOSS effects, divided into seven different categories with selections derived from the flagship - the BOSS GT-1000. There are 60 effect types in total, with access to over 20 more via BOSS Tone Studio.
A send/return loop is built in for connection external pedals, with the ability to save the on/off status in patches and place the loop before or after amplifiers in the signal chain.
In addition to numerous effects, the ME-90 also features various amplifiers adopted from the GT-1000 - powered by AIRD technology for authentic tube sound and velocity. Eleven amplifier types offer everything from clean combo sounds to powerful high- gain stacks, and there are even more models to choose from in the BOSS Tone Studio. Each amp has its own cab sound for connection to a PA or recording device. It is also possible to load three of your own loudspeaker IRs with a special software app.
The BOSS ME-90 has eight smooth-running, low-noise foot switches and an expression pedal with an integrated toe switch. Memory mode allows the player to recall complete patch setups using the footswitches, while Manual mode provides direct on/off control of each effect category within the patch. The footswitch LEDs light up in different colors so you can quickly find them in the heat of battle. There is also the option to have all LEDs light up in a fixed color / finish for each mode or to set them for each mode if desired.
The BOSS ME-90 supports the optional bluetooth Audio midi Dual adapter, which allows the user to stream music from a mobile device and edit sounds wirelessly using the BTS Editor app for iOS and Android.
The BOSS ME-90 is lighter than its predecessor, but still has the rock-solid durability that BOSS is known for. The expression pedal has also been redesigned to allow even finer control of the parameters. The effects board can be powered by four AA batteries or an optional mains adapter , and a switches on the back optimizes the outputs for use with a guitar amp or a full-range sound system such as a PA. Together with BOSS Tone Studio communication, the USB-C output provides audio interface functionality for working with music production software on a computer.
