Tone King Imperial preamp
The Tone King Imperial all-tube preamp pedal delivers the legendary Tweed, Blackface and vintage British rock tones of the Tone King MKII amplifier from the '50s in a compact, pedalboard-friendly format. It features the exact preamp section and phase inverter circuit of the Imperial MKII amp as well as reverb, tremolo and attenuation, which give this pedal its harmonic richness and blooming attack dynamics.
This preamp is powered by three 12AX7 preamp tubes running at high voltage, ensuring the tone, responsiveness and excellent interaction with the pickups and effects of your amp. The built-in low-latency IR loader (per channel), a headphone jack, easy integration and expandability with your existing equipment and MIDI features bring these iconic sounds into a new, modern era of guitar playing.

The Tone King Imperial MkII is a 20-watt tube amp aimed at anyone seeking American vintage amp tones. The two channels, each with its own EQ, are inspired by the sound of Blackface and Tweed amps respectively. In addition to built-in reverb and tremolo effects, the popular Ironman II Attenuator is included, allowing great tone at any volume. The Imperial MkII is available as a combo with a custom 12" speaker or as a head.
Tone King from Baltimore, USA, is a manufacturer of vintage valve amplifiers founded in 1993 by Mark Bartel. Among the most popular are the heads and combos from the Imperial and Gremlin series. In addition to the high-quality amplifiers, Tone King is particularly known for the much-praised Ironman Attenuator, which preserves the amplifier's tonal character very faithfully even at low power.
