The HD 490 PRO was developed in Germany and is handcrafted with durable components. In the 1950s, Sennheiser focused on the development of condenser microphone technology, which was widely used for recording on film sets and TV studios. One of the milestones is certainly the wireless microphone system developed together with NDR for professional TV use, which was marketed together with Telefunken under the name “Mikroport” from 1958 onwards.
In 1960, Sennheiser presented the next highlight and introduced the MD-421 dynamic microphone, which is still produced and sold today. In 1982, Fritz Sennheiser handed over management to his son Jörg , who further expanded and internationalized the company.
Another stroke of genius from Sennheiser was the HD-25 headphones in 1988.
