The STELLAR.45 sound transducer, developed in Heilbronn and produced locally, delivers the proven beyerdynamic sound with previously unrivaled performance in the studio headphones class. The reason for this is a strong neodymium magnet and a voice coil made of copper-plated high-tech wire. The trade-off between conductivity and weight of the wire is unique. In combination with the newly developed three-layer speaker membrane with an integrated damping layer, this creates a highly efficient driver system that performs well on all playback devices.
The innovative membrane structure controls the axial movement of the voice coil and ensures that it is securely positioned in the magnetic gap even with high deflections. Another advantage is the wide and natural frequency response. The fast response of the transducer as well as detailed transient reproduction, due to the low coil weight, ensure a consistently reliable and distortion-free sound, even at high sound pressure levels.
