A new level of performance

More than 25 years, two generations of guitarists and several musical trend cycles, have passed since the Dual Rectifier first unleashed its oppressive wall of gain on radio stations. The Triple Rectifier takes this world-famous, iconic amplifier concept to a new level.
Over a decade ago, the Recto underwent a massive facelift that greatly expanded its versatility, turning a 2-channel amplifier focused solely on high gain into a 3-channel amplifier that can handle any style with confidence. While the Rectifier amplifier has undoubtedly left and continues to have the largest and deepest footprint in heavy music, both Rectos have also become go-to amplifiers for a long list of chart-toppers outside of the heavy world.

Multi-watt technology with 150 or 50 watts of power

Each channel of the Triple Rectifier features independent power controls, quickly accessible via the second two-position mini toggle switch on each of the amplifier's three channels . Recto's Multi-Watt™ amplifier allows each channel to be independently set to 50 or 150 watts of power. Essentially, you now have the option of using either just two or all six power amp valves for each channel to set 50 or 150 watts of Class A/B power via the independent 50/150 watt power switches.

From earthy sounds to high gain

Over the last two decades , Mesa/Boogie has gained a lot of experience in amp design and has gained new insights, all of which have been incorporated into this latest version of the Triple Rectifier. Eight sound modes on three channels are now available. The enhanced CLEAN and PUSHED sounds in Channel 1 of the Triple Rectifier are based on the popular Lone Star and Mark V amplifiers and provide a full, balanced clean signal - a perfect starting point for crafting your perfect clean sounds.
MESA/Boogie's contribution to modern heavy rock and metal is undeniable. RAW mode offers excellent classic rock sound with lower distortion in both channel 2 and channel 3. After a smooth, progressive transition from the higher RAW values, VINTAGE takes over, offering a smooth tonal transition that heads straight towards metal chaos. Channel 3 delivers a sort of best of what heavy lovers expect from a Mesa/Boogie Rectifier. Switching from VINTAGE to MODERN ignites an inferno with increased bass, a boost in the high mids and an aggressive, snappy sound that is second to none.

The Triple Rectifier's solo and output controls are only active when the effects loop is activated. The Solo controls provides additional amplification for lead work and can be quickly activated using the Solo button on the footswitch . The output controls controls the overall volume of the amplifier and is ready for use after you have adjusted the gain and master volumes of the individual channels to your taste.

Recto tube tracking

Each channel features a Multi-Watt™ power switch, independent gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Presence and Master controls , and channel-assignable Dual Rectification with Recto Tracking™ (diode or tube tracking). If more headroom is needed, diode rectification is an alternative option for a crisper low end.

About Mesa/Boogie Rectifier

About Mesa/Boogie

In the late 1960s, Randall Smith, one of the San Francisco Bay Area's most famous amplifier repairers, was inspired to build his own amplifier model after learning to appreciate the tweed circuits of the 1950s. He loved their organic sound, the effective controls , and the way the sound changed smoothly from clean to distortion and back again when the gain control was turned.
In order to advance with his own amplifier designs and concepts, he settled in Pentaluma, California in 1969 and worked on further developing his amplifier model.
The typical, heavily distorted sound of his Mesa/Boogie amplifier model was initially the result of an electrically incorrectly dimensioned preamplifier. The company's founder, Randall Smith, was unsure whether the pre-amp would have enough power to drive the amplifier , so he designed it with four double triodes, of which the first seven triodes are still used today to amplification the input signal.

Many years later , Mesa/Boogie has become one of the major global players in the market for high-quality guitar and bass amplifiers and is a leader in the development of modern amp designs and circuits. The American company also holds several patents on special features and circuits, such as Multi-Watt™, Dyna-Watt™ and the Mesa CabClone™ Cab Simulator, which you are sure to come across when browsing through our selection of Mesa/Boogie products become.

Of course, a manufacturer of such innovative and high-quality products has now also been able to gather a large fan base among professional musicians who are enthusiastic about Mesa/Boogie amps. The most famous users of Mesa/Boogie amps include the aforementioned Carlos Santana, Larry Carlton, Angus Young, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson, Keith Richards, Pete Townshend, Adam Jones, Mark Tremonti and Dave Grohl. Of course, these are by no means all the famous Mesa/Boogie users and Mesa/Boogie also has a large and constantly growing fan base among studio musicians and hobby guitarists. Maybe you too will soon be part of the next generation of the Mesa/Boogie fan community?
