About Mark Tremonti
Mark Tremonti is one of PRS Guitars' longest-tenured artists, and his instruments and amps have been a permanent fixture of the PRS lineup for decades. Over the course of his career Mark has not only cemented his position as a world-class guitarist and singer, but also as a talented and versatile songwriter. His wild, refined and instantly recognisable style has had a lasting impact on the sonic architecture of modern heavy music. As a founding member of the Grammy-winning, multi-platinum band Creed Mark is also well known for his work with Alter Bridge, where he plays alongside his PRS artist-colleague Miles Kennedy, and for his own solo band Tremonti. Mark's fighting spirit and his dedication to his craft are legendary. He's always ready to push himself further in pursuit of his music.
In addition to his SE and Core signature guitars, Mark has also been given a range of signature amps.
A full 100 watts of power
The MT amps became so popular that PRS decided to bring a 100-watt version to market. The MT 100 is the result of years of research and development as well as practical testing. It is a professional amplifier for demanding musicians. The MT 100 features a robust chassis, custom transformers and three independent channels with identical controls but truly unique voicings. Each of the MT 100's three channels has an independent circuit with its own preamp tubes to ensure the tonal character of each channel is exactly as it should be. The clean channel remains uncoloured and crystal clear, the gain channel delivers rich, powerful tones and the additional overdrive channel, modelled on one of Mark's personal favourite amps, provides an incredibly flexible gain structure and first-class mid response in an already versatile amp. Channel selection is made via the front panel of the amp or via the supplied footswitch - both feature channel illumination so you always know which channel is active. All three channels are driven by 12AX7 preamp tubes.
Clear control panel
The tone of each channel can be adjusted using a 3-band equaliser with presence, master volume and gain/volume controls. All channels have their own separate set of controls. The power amp is formed by four 6L6 tubes. Because each channel is driven by 12AX7 preamp tubes, maintenance of the amp and the tubes is noticeably easier. With its 100 watts of power, the MT 100's sound far belies its price; it's a powerful amp full of aggression and articulation, ideal for the big stage. In addition, the integrated effects loop makes it especially easy to integrate your favourite effects into the MT 100's high-energy sound.

PRS Guitars sets its own standards when it comes to electric guitars. At NAMM 2016, PRS is taking a look into the past and, with the CE 24 models, has been presenting guitars with screw-on neck and maple necks in their main range for many years, which offer an interesting alternative to traditional construction. Later, the collaboration with John Mayer resulted in an incredibly successful instrument, the Silver Sky series, which was initially supplemented by additional colors and later by a cheaper SE series .
Through his great passion for guitar building and meticulous research and optimization of his models, company founder Paul Reed Smith has been creating instruments that are rightly considered true works of art for over 40 years. Not only guitar legends like Carlos Santana play the high-quality PRS guitars from the standard series, the exclusive Private Stock or even the cheaper SE production.
Paul Reed Smith is making a name for himself
The American guitar maker PRS Guitars was officially founded in 1985, but the company's founder and namesake, Paul Reed Smith, has been making guitars since around 1975. By giving his guitars to stars like Carlos Santana, Al Di Meola and Peter Frampton and convincing them directly, his instruments became more and more famous. Series production of the Custom 24 finally began in 1985. With former Gibson President Ted McCarty, Paul Reed Smith was able to gain an experienced consultant and the course was set for success for the guitars with the typical bird inlays in the fretboard .
Every guitar is a custom shop model
PRS guitars tend to be in the higher price ranges because of the high-quality materials and careful workmanship. The SE line, which has been manufactured in Korea and is of a high quality despite cheaper materials, has existed since the 1990s. The S2 series forms a link because the instruments are made in the USA, but are still quite affordable.
PRS calls all instruments custom shop instruments due to the high quality and customization options, but with the private stock instruments the company goes one step further and sets real standards in terms of materials, quality, originality and individuality. All PRS guitars have one thing in common: they are real workhorses with a lot of flexibility and look outrageously good at the same time.
