The renowned Mesa/Boogie Mark series in a compact form

The Mesa/Boogie Mark Five 25, now available as a head or combo, offers two channels, six modes and a collection of Mesa/Boogie's famous Mark Series preamp circuits, packed into two incredibly small enclosures, with outrageously good sound!

In this small but mighty 25-watt version, the sounds and features that make the Mark series amplifier so popular on stage and in the studio have not only been shrunk to their smallest possible size , but have also been further refined and improved. With the Mesa/Boogie Mark Five 25 you have the opportunity to enjoy both wonderfully sparkling cleans and discover booming high- gain lead sounds . The duo of EL84 power amp valves creates a bright, tight sound that is also perfect for shredding, making it a more modern interpretation of a Mesa/Boogie amp than, for example, the Fillmore or California Tweed amplifier .

The following features await you in the Mesa/Boogie Mark Five 25:

  • 6 selectable sound modes (Clean, Fat, Crunch, Mark IIC+, Mark IV, Xtreme)
  • Vintage all-tube spring reverb with great sustain and independent controls per channel
  • Integrated Mesa CabClone™ Cab Simulator with internal amp load, headphone output, closed back & open back simulations, speaker on/off and ground lift switches
  • power can be reduced from 25 watts to 10 watts
  • fully buffered effects loop

About Mesa/Boogie Mark

About Mesa/Boogie

In the late 1960s, Randall Smith, one of the San Francisco Bay Area's most famous amplifier repairers, was inspired to build his own amplifier model after learning to appreciate the tweed circuits of the 1950s. He loved their organic sound, the effective controls , and the way the sound changed smoothly from clean to distortion and back again when the gain control was turned.
In order to advance with his own amplifier designs and concepts, he settled in Pentaluma, California in 1969 and worked on further developing his amplifier model.
The typical, heavily distorted sound of his Mesa/Boogie amplifier model was initially the result of an electrically incorrectly dimensioned preamplifier. The company's founder, Randall Smith, was unsure whether the pre-amp would have enough power to drive the amplifier , so he designed it with four double triodes, of which the first seven triodes are still used today to amplification the input signal.

Many years later , Mesa/Boogie has become one of the major global players in the market for high-quality guitar and bass amplifiers and is a leader in the development of modern amp designs and circuits. The American company also holds several patents on special features and circuits, such as Multi-Watt™, Dyna-Watt™ and the Mesa CabClone™ Cab Simulator, which you are sure to come across when browsing through our selection of Mesa/Boogie products become.

Of course, a manufacturer of such innovative and high-quality products has now also been able to gather a large fan base among professional musicians who are enthusiastic about Mesa/Boogie amps. The most famous users of Mesa/Boogie amps include the aforementioned Carlos Santana, Larry Carlton, Angus Young, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson, Keith Richards, Pete Townshend, Adam Jones, Mark Tremonti and Dave Grohl. Of course, these are by no means all the famous Mesa/Boogie users and Mesa/Boogie also has a large and constantly growing fan base among studio musicians and hobby guitarists. Maybe you too will soon be part of the next generation of the Mesa/Boogie fan community?
