Calvin Rodgers plays with a lot of inspiration and continues to set the standard for gospel - and also R&B drumming. Together, Calvin and Meinl have developed a new signature drumstick that is not only great for moving quickly around the kit, but also perfect for playing deep and fat grooves. Based on a diameter of 5A and selected hickory from the USA, this unique stick has a total length of 16.5". This means you can reach all of your cymbals or other sound effects without any problems. The stick is also designed with a long taper, which creates a very good rebound. The round tip shape produces an articulate and clear sound on both cymbals and drums, while the weight and balance deliver the sensitivity and feel required for a great all-round stick. “When I started working with Meinl on my signature stick, my main goal was to create not only a stick that I loved, but also a stick that felt universal. I wanted a model with consistent weight and feel throughout the stick. It had to have a round tip shape that wouldn't put as much strain on my eardrums but would capture my infatuation with the definition and dynamic sensitivity of the stick.
