Laney Lionheart: British sound with character
The Lionheart series stands for true British amp tradition: handcrafted quality, responsive feel and a warm, dynamic sound. And it does that in two ways that will each inspire and excite you in their own way: With Lionheart Tube Loaded you get the authentic tube experience for the studio or the stage – classic, warm and direct. With Lionheart Foundry you get the distinctive Lionheart sound in a modern, flexible form with lots of extras to support you in everyday situations and on gigs. Both lines represent Laney's typical British charm, great workmanship and superb tones.
Lionheart Tube Loaded – real tube tone, real emotion
The Tube-Loaded models are pure tube amplifiers that will make every guitarist's heart beat faster:
- Warm, lively and dynamic: classic British EL84 tube tone with single-ended Class-A character and rich harmonics – perfect for clean blues sounds, full-bodied crunch overdrive and organic vintage drive tones.
- Responsive feel: the amp set reacts directly to pick attack, pickups and your playing style – you have control over every expression of your guitar.
- Handcrafted in the UK: high build quality with charming royal blue Tolex and classic looks.
- For stage & studio: whether at home, in the studio or on stage – these tube amps bring warmth, feel and genuine analogue character that makes every song come alive.
Ideal for you if you want classic, organic tube tone, dynamic response and vintage vibes.
Lionheart Foundry – analogue power with extra features
The Foundry series takes the tone and dynamics of the Tube amps as a basis and brings them to an analogue solid-state platform with many extras:
- All-analogue, no digital modelling: instead of digital simulations Laney uses discrete analogue circuits that trace the tonal characteristics of the Tube models – with pick-sensitive dynamic response.
- Versatile features: dual channels, switchable boost, built-in effects like reverb, chorus and tremolo, and often impulse-response speaker emulation for direct PA/recording connection.
- User-friendly: lightweight, robust, and with functions like 60 W/1 W switching ideal for home, studio or live gigs.
- Classic British look: despite modern technology Foundry retains the vintage charm with Laney-typical styling.
Perfect for you if you want the tube character but need more flexibility, effects and everyday practicality.
The manufacturer Laney has stood for outstanding quality and unmistakable British sound since 1967. Laney was founded in the heart of England and quickly made a name for itself with its guitar and bass amplifiers. When Lyndon Laney needed an amplifier for his band in 1966, he had no idea that this would be the beginning of a long journey – a journey that would span more than 50 years and all continents. With a clear vision and a passion for excellent sound he began developing amplifiers that are not only robust and reliable, but also sonically impressive.
Laney is known for its distinctive British sound, ranging from warm clean tones to punchy overdrives. This tonal palette is ideal for various musical styles, from blues and rock to metal. The British company relies on innovative technologies to deliver the best sound. Models like the Ironheart or the Lionheart offer modern features such as USB ports, headphone output and digital effects, without losing the classic valve tone.
Laney is proud to be a family-run company dedicated to supporting musicians. Amps are developed by musicians for musicians. The passion and understanding of musicians' needs is reflected in every product. From aspiring amateurs to professional musicians – Laney products are award-winning and are used on the biggest stages around the world.
