The Korg KAOSS Replay is a synthesizer that is characterized above all by its intuitively controllable performance effects . As the second generation of its kind, it now also offers a sampling function.
Thanks to the surprisingly powerful pad sampler function , up to 128 sample slots per project can be filled with loops, one-shots or even complete songs .
The sample pads are organized in 8 banks with touch-sensitive and colored lighting, which in turn can be accessed via 16 pads . The pads can also be assigned to one of the two group faders , allowing seamless transitions to be achieved.
Thanks to the integrated audio interface, samples can be recorded via the audio input, the integrated microphone input or via resampling directly from the running performance.
The samples can then be trimmed and edited using the colored 5” OLED touch display.
Finished stems, loops or songs can easily be transferred to the KAOSS Replay via USB .
There are up to 12 hot cue points available for each pad , allowing you to instantly get to specific points within a sample or track.
Other DJ-typical functions such as tap/auto BPM, sync, quantize and variable pitch are also available, as are 128 performance effects, which include KAOSS classics such as filters, delays, reverbs and looper effects as well as exotic ones such as vinyl stop and pitch- Provide effects for a connected microphone. Thanks to the “pad Motion”function , the effects can be easily automated or determined by pressing the “Touch Hold” button.
The KAOSS Replay is a fully equipped DJ setup that is perfect for stand-alone performances . Thanks to the robust and elegant aluminum enclosure , it is suitable for even the toughest stage use and can be powered via USB-C, meaning that nothing stands in the way of unlimited mobile use with the help of a power bank.
