The Teenage Engineerings OP-1 is a portable synthesizer and sampler in one. The device allows you to create sounds using eight different sound generators plus several envelopes, effects and LFOs. In addition, the sampler can be supplied with samples via the integrated microphone or the line or microphone input. The OP-1 can also be used to insert fragments of the current program using the built-in radio or to import samples using the keyboard . The device provides a virtual four-track tape machine for sampling, which itself becomes a musical instrument with loops and reverse play, among other things. Last but not least, the OP-1 can also be used as a controllers for audio software . When connected to a computer, it also functions like a USB memory , simplifying data exchange without installing drivers.
