Product information

Jackson's first customer was legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads, who asked the company to develop a model that would meet the demands of his technically demanding playing with visual verve. The result is constantly evolving to meet and exceed the needs of players who grew up with his groundbreaking work. The Rhoads RR24 from the Pro Plus series is a proud contender for the throne of high-tech guitars.

The Pro RR24 combines a single-ply okoumé body with a full-length, three-piece maple/walnut neck that is reinforced with a pair of graphite rods to withstand the effects of temperature and humidity. Designed for fast-paced guitar work, the fast neck profile removes all obstacles to nimble playing and allows easier access to the upper frets. With 24 jumbo stainless steel frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays, the 12"-16" compound radius ebony fretboard is the ideal platform for heavy chord work and fast, fast-paced solos.

The modern Seymour Duncan Distortion Humbucking pickup provide a balanced, flexible tone suitable for even the most aggressive styles, offering high output power for pristine cleans and growling distortion. The Floyd Rose 1000 Double Locking Tremolo System adds expressive vibrato to notes and chords with a flick of the wrist, ensuring rock-solid tuning and precise intonation.

The most recognizable instrument from Jackson's countless offerings, the RR24 features the familiar aesthetic that keeps Jackson axes in high demand among guitarists. From the unique sharkfin inlays to the pointed 6-in-line headstock to the revolutionary body design - this instrument is clearly a Jackson creation. Jackson guitars don't just push the boundaries, they push them - and the Pro Plus Rhoads is no exception to this rule.

About Jackson

Jackson Guitars was created when Grover Jackson took over the well-known company Charvel's Guitar Repair in 1978. The collaboration with the then Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Randy Rhoads in 1980 resulted in the Rhoads body shape, which is still available today, and also marked the start of Jackson Guitars. The timing was just right because heavy metal was experiencing a heyday in the 1980s and the trend (started by Eddie Van Halen) was so-called super or power strats. These are guitars that are visually more or less based on the classic ST form , but are equipped with more modern and stylistically more suitable components such as humbuckers or Floyd Rose tremolos. Jackson soon earned a reputation as a forger of premium, American-built, high-end custom instruments that could be seen in the hands of many well-known guitarists of the time. With the musical changes of the 1990s, Jackson Guitars began opening factories in the Far East in order to be able to offer their instruments in cheaper areas. Since 2002, both Jackson and Charvel have been part of the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.
