Discover the Ibanez PGMM21-MGNPaul Gilbert Signature in detail

About Paul Gilbert

From platinum album sales and number one chart success as a founding member of Mr. Big , to shaking up the guitar world with shred pioneers in the band Racer X , to exploring punk, pop, classical, blues, jazz and progressive instrumental styles in During his solo career, Paul Gilbert has recorded a vast amount of stunning guitar music, circling the globe to play sold-out arenas from Japan to Jakarta. Paul's style is characterized by a rare combination of accuracy, creativity and power. You can feel his love for music in every solo. While Paul is best known for his work with Mr. Big and Racer Paul's groundbreaking "Intense Rock" videos and DVDs have inspired countless guitarists to improve their precision, speed and phrasing. In addition, he was of course instrumental in the development of his signature Ibanez PGM and Fireman guitars.

Small body, great playing pleasure

Like all Ibanez PGM guitars, the PGMM21-MGN has a smaller body and a shorter scale length than a regular Modern ST guitar. The basic requirements for the good sound are the poplar body and the stable, screwed-on maple neck of the PGMM21-MGN. The New Zealand pine fretboard provides crisp and balanced tone and a pronounced midrange. The reversed headstock, painted to match the body, also stands out visually. Two humbuckers are responsible for the amplified sound : The Ibanez Infinity pickup deliver a precise and tight sound with excellent dynamics. Even under severe distortion, they do not lose tonal clarity. The in-house F106 bridge improves sustain and the string height can be adjusted easily and independently. With all of these features, the Ibanez PGMM21-MGN offers very good playability and an excellent price-performance ratio. In the video below, Paul Gilbert himself introduces you to his signature guitar.

About Ibanez

The Japanese instrument manufacturer Ibanez can look back on a long tradition in guitar and bass building. While Ibanez initially stood out with idiosyncratic copies of traditional models from manufacturers such as Gibson and Fender , independent series gradually came onto the market, such as the Iceman, JEM, Artcore and RG. In the 1980s, the manufacturer made a name for itself, especially in the heavy sector, with its instruments that shone with modern features, individual design and excellent playability. Innovations such as the 7- and 8-string guitars, which emerged from the fruitful collaboration with artists such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Meshuggah, did the rest to establish Ibanez 's good reputation. Today the manufacturer offers an extensive range, ranging from entry-level guitars and basses to unusual custom shop models. Ibanez also knows how to impress when it comes to effects devices and amplifier model , as the classic TS9 Tubescreamer proves. With us you will find a comprehensive selection of guitars, basses, amplifiers, effects and accessories from Ibanez.
