Yamaha THR 5
Entry into the Yamaha THR world
With the THR series, Yamaha has developed a hugely successful desktop amp. Even the THR 5 models offer a wide selection of modelled amp emulations. The built-in effects give the sound more depth.
Compact & versatile
The desktop modeller delivers 2 x 5 watts and is equipped with 2 x 8 cm full-range speakers. Beside the tuner on the top is the rotary control for the different amp simulations. Six further knobs take care of tone shaping, control volume and add the built-in effects smoothly. Time adjustments are made via tap tempo.
On the right side you'll find the connections for headphones, AUX and the instrument input.
Combo version for electric guitar
The THR 5 offers five selectable amp types — Clean, Crunch, Lead, Brit Hi and Modern — giving electric guitarists the right modelling amp sound. On the electric-guitar version there are controls for Gain, Master and Tone on the top of the desktop amp.

The three new THRs offer Bluetooth® support for audio playback and the ability to further edit the sound with the THR Remote App.
The larger THR30II Wireless and THR10II Wireless amplifiers also feature a built-in receiver which, together with the optional Line 6® Relay® G10T transmitter and a built-in rechargeable battery, allow you to play anywhere with ease.
Yamaha or A Company That Makes Everything. In fact, you could probably list faster what Yamaha does not make. The Japan-based company, active for over 125 years, is the all-rounder among instrument manufacturers. Having started as a maker of pianos, grand pianos and even wooden furniture, the range was soon expanded considerably: Yamaha now offers keyboards, string instruments, woodwinds, drums and percussion as well as PA and studio equipment. For example, youll find steel-string acoustic guitars, electric guitars, electric basses, the popular PSR keyboards, acoustic drumkits and e-drum sets, flutes and saxophones for beginners and intermediates, as well as the popular Clavinova CLP-700 digital pianos and entertainer keyboards like the Genos or the synthesiser Yamaha MX49, plus PA equipment and studio monitors for professional needs. In any case, you can always rely on Yamaha for excellent value for money.
