Jake E. Lee ranks among the most influential gunslinger guitarists who rose to prominence in the early 1980s as heroes to a new generation. Lee, known for his fiery guitar work and innovative songwriting, contributed to two of Ozzy Osbourne's most revered albums, the 1983 Bark at the Moon and the 1986 Ultimate Sin. With Ozzy, his post-Ozzy band Badlands and, more recently, his own group Red Dragon Cartel, Lee has infused his playing with the lightness of the 80s while remaining firmly rooted in the hard rock fundamentals of the 70s. Jake's tonal choices form the evolutionary glue between the sounds of these two major eras. After the hugely successful release of the limited JEL-100 and JEL-20 Signature heads, Jake E. Lee and Dave Friedman have teamed up again and applied their legendary ears and talents to develop the new IR-J, a classic all-valve direct solution that delivers Lee's ultimate sounds in a compact, pedalboard-friendly format.
