Electro Harmonix hat sich einen weiteren, klassischen Schaltkreis vorgenommen: der legendäre Tone Bender MK III. Der Bender Royales MK III Black basiert auf dem bekannten 3 Germanium Transistor Fuzz und hat einige zeitgemäße Updates erhalten: die Regelmöglichkeiten sind deutlich erweitert - 2 Band EQ, BIAS Control regelt die Eingangsspannung der Fuzz Sektion (von bröseligem Gated Fuzz bis hin zu fetter Distortion), Blend blendet das Direktsignal hinzu, sodaß selbst bei heftigstem Fuzz der Attack erhalten bleibt, Fat Switch hebt Mitten und Bässe für einen satteren Fuzzsound an und mit dem Clip Switch lassen sich die Clipping Dioden (Germanium oder LED) umschalten. Der Bender Royale kann mit Standard 9 Volt DC Center negative Spannung betrieben werden. Ein interner Trimmer auf der Platine (Impedance Adjust) simuliert eine direkt angeschlossene Gitarre. Vintage Germanium Fuzzpedale reagieren oft sehr merkwürdig mit vorgeschalteten Effektpedalen, mit dem Impedance Adjust Trimmer kann der Bender Royale problemlos angepaßt werden. Das Ganze in cooler 60's "Colorsound Style" Optik.
