Would you like to buy a bass with more than the usual four strings or are you looking for a more unusually constructed instrument? Then the bass guitars from the Canadian manufacturer Dingwall Designer Guitars are definitely worth a look.

A special features of these basses is the use of the fanned-frets construction (fanned frets). The frets are embedded in the fretboard in such a way that the scale length of the low strings is longer than that of the high ones. This means that the low strings gain more sustain and the tone is more “accurate”.

In addition, Dingwall has specialized in the production of 5 and even 6-string basses, making them an absolute must for fans of extended range instruments.

In addition to absolute high-end basses such as the Dingwall Afterburner or the Dingwall D-Roc, you will also find many models from the inexpensive Combustion series . Here, North American wood and components are sent to China for assembly and further processing. The final adjustment and inspection is then carried out again at Dingwall headquarters in Saskatoon, Canada.
