The Dingwall Combustion 4 Ash RW VB, now also available as a 4-string, offers an affordable entry into the world of Dingwall basses. The quality of material and workmanship is of course at the usual high level. The body of the four-stringer is made of ash. The subsequent 5-piece maple neck is equipped with a maple fingerboard and Dingwall typical Novax Fanned Fret system , which allows each string to have the scale length (864 - 939 mm) in which it sounds best. The frets are embedded in the fretboard in such a way that the scale length of the low strings is longer than that of the high ones.
