Evans has shaped the sound of drummers around the world for over 60 years. With the introduction of the first synthetic drumhead in 1956 by Chick Evans, the brand set new standards in progress and development that forever changed the drumming world. By using polymer film instead of traditional leather, a drumhead was created that delivered an astonishingly similar sound to natural skins while being resistant to temperature and humidity.
