MODX+: more potential, more sound, more feeling
With the new MODX+ models, the hardware is now also being updated. The three new synthesizers offer 1.75 GB of internal flash memory - an increase of 75 percent! This means musicians have more space for their own samples and synthesizer libraries. The Plus also stands for more polyphony, as 128 note stereo AWM2 and 128 note FM-X enable expanded playing options and an increase in freedom in sound design. Even the feel has been further improved: both the modulation and pitch wheels are now rubberized to provide more grip and better control during passionate performances. A MODX+ feels like a MONTAGE.

Die Yamaha MODX+-Serie ist eine Reihe von High-End-Synthesizer-Workstations, die umfangreiche Soundgestaltung- und Performance-Funktionen für dynamische und moderne Musikproduktionen bietet. Die neue Serie ist eine überarbeitete Version der ursprünglichen MODX-Serie. Durch verbesserte Features rückt die MODX+-Serie nun aber noch näher an die Flaggschiffe der Yamaha MONTAGE-Serie heran.
Im Vergleich zu den Vorgängermodellen, wurde bei den drei unterschiedlichen Varianten (MODX6+, MODX7+ und MODX8+) die Performance gesteigert. Dies lässt sich u.a. an einem größeren Speicher, einer erweiterten Polyfonie und an einer verbesserten Haptik erkennen.
