The UT FET47's design began with a custom-built Cinemag transformer that provides unparalleled response, warmth and low end. This is rounded off by a special capsule from the Heisermann HZ series, which was created as a joint venture between United and Heisermann. In addition, we looked for Vintage polystyrene capacitors and FETs for the “real” sound.
United worked with renowned capsule designer and manufacturer Eric Heiserman to develop a production-ready version of its recently perfected K47 dual-back capsule.
After months of development, including the analysis of all the little things, no matter how inconspicuous, such as the thread pitch of the screws used, we finally reached our goal. United found the perfect combination with special Cinemag transformers from California.
The large, powerful transformer is wound to the specifications of the original and makes the UT FET47 a true work of art.
