With the Roland JD-08, another classic finds its way into the Roland Boutique series. As the name might suggest, the legendary JD-800 was the inspiration here. The JD-08 combines the original waveforms of the JD-800 with advanced modeling technologies. A total of 108 original waveforms are available for extensive patch design. In addition to 64 presets from the original JD-800, 21 new presets have also been added. In addition to the arpeggiator, there is also a two-part polyphonic 64-step sequencer with motion recording, pattern random generator and 128 pattern storage locations on board. The JD-08 is dual multitimbral and offers expanded polyphony compared to original. Connected to the computer via USB-C, the JD-08 also serves as an audio/ midi interface. It gets power either via USB or alternatively with 4x AA batteries. A mini loudspeaker is also integrated.

About Roland

Roland was founded as a manufacturer of various music materials and studio technology on April 18, 1972 in Osaka, Japan. Among the earliest products to come onto the market were the first rhythm machines from the TR series, whose successors TR-808, TB-303 and TR-909 had a significant influence on both techno and electro music, as well as hip hop scene. The JC-120 Jazz chorus guitar amplifier was also created in the mid-1970s, and both Andy Summers from The Police as well as Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield from Metallica were audibly impressed by its ultra-clear sound in conjunction with the built-in chorus effect . Since then and to this day, Roland has continuously expanded its catalog with high-quality and interesting products in a wide variety of fields such as digital pianos, groove boxes, e-drums and synthesizers.
