The Rode VideoMic Rycote is perfect for users of digital video cameras who don't want to miss out on professional studio quality when it comes to sound. The microphone's large frequency range, low inherent noise and supercardioid characteristic guarantee optimal recording sound. The camcorder on which the Rode VideoMic is used should have a hot shoe for microphone mounting and a stereo mini jack socket as an audio input . The microphone is very light (only 176 g), but extremely robust with its ABS enclosure . The Rode VideoMic is power supply by a 9 V battery, which only needs to be changed after 100 hours of operation.
