Digital handheld transmitter
Wireless microphone and handheld recorder in one: The elegant, 26 cm long reportage microphone can not only be coupled with any current RØDE wireless receiver - currently these are Wireless ME, Wireless GO II, Wireless PRO, RØDECaster Duo, RØDECaster Pro II and Streamer X - but also offers an on-board recording function with its own REC button and built-in 32 GB memory for 40 hours of uncompressed audio signal. The sound quality of the Interview PRO is of the highest quality: crystal clear, undistorted and with the best possible speech intelligibility.
The microphone capsule
The Interview PRO uses a high-quality condenser capsule, with a typical omnidirectional characteristic. The advantage: the microphone has no proximity effect, i.e. no noticeable increase in low frequencies when the microphone is close to the microphone. In practice, this can vary during recording without drastically changing the sound . As a "omnidirectional" microphone, the microphone is sensitive to sound from all directions. Unlike a cardioid microphone, it does not always have to be perfectly aligned with the sound source - the Interview PRO is extremely forgiving if the interviewee moves their head .
GainAssist technology
GainAssist is very helpful. It is an intelligent automatic control system that constantly adjusts the internal gain setting in the microphone to the respective sound source. This protects you from surprises and the audio signal is always transmitted or recorded at a healthy level and with the best possible intelligibility.
On-board recording
The Interview PRO offers a recording function directly in the microphone and for this purpose an internal 32 GB audio memory, which is enough for more than 40 hours. The recording is made uncompressed as a WAV file. You start and stop recording with the REC button on the back of the microphone. When recording is active, the button lights up red. Below the REC button is a MUTE button that can be used to mute the microphone if necessary.
32-bit Float Audio
Interview PRO is also the first handheld transmitter in the world to deliver 32-bit floating point audio. The advantage: As long as the max. SPL of 122 dB is not exceeded, it is virtually impossible to distort the signal through digital clipping. Very loud passages with flattened peak levels can be subsequently compensated for by normalizing them during post-production in a DAW compatible with 32-bit float.
power supply and digital output
The Interview PRO has a built-in lithium-ion battery that allows up to 30 hours of operation. There is a USB-C connection in the socket of the microphone that can be used to charge the battery. The digital output of the on-board recording also takes place via this socket; a SuperSpeed USB cable is included for this purpose. Digital audio transmission requires Windows 10, Mac OS 11, Android 11 or iOS 14 as the operating system.

Innovation from Australia
RØDE is an Australian manufacturer of microphones and audio accessories headquartered in Sydney. Founded in 1967, the company has grown since the 1990s into one of the world’s leading brands in recording, broadcast, and content creation audio.
RØDE gained international recognition primarily through its large-diaphragm condenser microphones, which made professional sound quality accessible at an attractive price point. Models such as the NT1 and NT1-A quickly became established in home and project studios and remain an integral part of countless music and voice productions to this day.
Over the years, RØDE has continuously expanded its product range. In addition to studio condenser microphones, the portfolio now includes dynamic microphones, broadcast and podcast microphones, video and camera microphones, lavalier microphones and wireless systems, as well as a wide range of accessories. Especially in the fields of content creation, streaming, and mobile recording, RØDE offers practical solutions for modern production environments.
A key characteristic of the brand is the close integration of technical development, manufacturing expertise, and quality control at its Australian facilities. RØDE relies on advanced production processes and high quality standards, which are reflected in the durability and reliability of its products.
Today, RØDE microphones are used worldwide in home studios, professional recording studios, broadcast facilities, and by content creators. The brand stands for reliable audio quality, innovative technologies, and strong value for money.
