Product information
The Meinl 22" Carbon Ripstop Cymbal Bag impresses with its subtle design combined with extremely durable materials and is perfect for taking to the gig, to the rehearsal room or to the studio. The all-black "Carbon"outer material consists of strong, woven 600D polyester ripstop and additional threads that form a cross-hatch pattern and optimally protect against tears in the material . In addition, the cymbal bag is lined with a special lining to give it more structure and additional durability. The adjustable, padded backpack straps with ABS buckles and the chest strap keep your hands free and the bag sits comfortably on your back. If the straps are not needed, they fit perfectly into the large back pocket. Thanks to the thick, reinforced carrying handle, it is also possible to carry the Carbon Ripstop Cymbal Bag comfortably by hand. As additional storage space, the back offers a large zippered pocket in which spare parts, tools, accessories or sheet music can be stored. In order to make perfect use of the outside of the bag, the hi-hat compartment has a strip of durable PP fabric loops. These are perfect for carabiners or other clips to attach keys, a water bottle or small drum accessories. Inside the main compartment, the heavily padded area offers space for cymbals up to 22" in diameter. This is also equipped with four padded, sewn-in dividers to prevent contact between the individual cymbals . There is an extra wide and thick EVA in the bottom . Covering is incorporated, which protects the cymbal edges and ensures a long life of the bag. The outer hi-hat compartment is suitable for cymbals with a diameter of up to 15", has a padded separation, as well as an inner pocket for quick access to the hi-hat Clutch or the tuning key. All interior surfaces are made of 420D polyester fabric with PU coating for abrasion resistance. The robust and durable nylon zippers with their large metal tabs allow the bag and the various accessory compartments to be opened easily and smoothly. A subtle Meinl logo completes the design of the bag and ensures the high-quality, minimalist look.

About Meinl Cymbals

The Meinl company was founded in 1951 by Roland Meinl as a one-man company for cymbals in a basement workshop. Now family-run in its third generation, Roland Meinl Musikinstrumente has become one of the biggest names in the manufacture of cymbals, percussion instruments and sound therapy instruments with locations in Gutenstetten and Nashville, TN.

Meinl Cymbals are manufactured at two locations . Production is located at the company headquarters in Gutenstetten , Franconia. This was specialized in high-precision automated production and hammering and has been constantly modernized since the new building in 2003. The series, manufactured exclusively in Germany, include HCS, Classics Custom, Classics Custom Dark, Classics Custom Dual as well as Pure Alloy and Pure Alloy Custom.

With the introduction of the traditionally hand-hammered cymbals of the Byzance series in 2000, Meinl entered into a centuries-old tradition of cymbal production in the homeland of cymbal forging - Turkey . Since the new Turkish production facility was built in Samsun in 2019, production has taken place in a state-of-the-art factory. After production there, the cymbals are refined in the German factory and each one is strictly tested for optics and sound .

The cymbals range includes seven higher-level series, which cover a particularly wide range of sounds based on six different alloys. These include: Byzance, Pure Alloy, Classic Custom, HCS, Symphonic/Marching, Generation X and Artist Concept Models.

The range is complemented by drum gear - accessories for drums - from drum carpets to practice pads and embroidery bags to cymbal cleaners and tuning keys. Meinl Cymbals ' endorsees include some of the most successful and well-known drummers of this time, including: Benny Greb, Robert Sput Searight, Matt Garstka, Anika Nilles, Mike Johnston, Jost Nickel, Chris Coleman, Luke Holland, Brann Dailor and Wolfgang Haffner.

To experience the complete Meinl Cymbals range with all your senses, we would like to recommend a visit to our Walldorf branch. On site we are home to the first Meinl flagship store in Europe , where you can find the entire Meinl Cymbals portfolio and even some special models and of course you can play and try them out.
