Kaum ein Name ist so mit digitalem Modelling im Gitarrenbereich verbunden wie die Spider-Reihe von Line 6. Mit den neuen Spider V MkII Modellen präsentiert man nun den neusten Zuwachs in Sachen Modelling-Amps. Vor sage und schreibe 20 Jahren kam der erste Spider-Verstärker auf den Markt und eröffnete das digitale Zeitalter im E-Gitarren-Milieu. Aufgrund der einfachen Bedienung und der vielfältigen Möglichkeiten in Sachen Sound und Effekten, zählen die Amps der Spider-Reihe zu den beliebtesten Einsteiger-Verstärkern. Seit dem ersten Modell entwickeln Line 6 ihre Verstärker kontinuierlich weiter, was mit den aktuellen Spider V MkII-Modellen mal wieder eindrucksvoll unter Beweis gestellt wird. Die Amps bieten 78 Amp- und 23 Boxen-Modelle sowie 101 Effekte und 19 Drum Loops. Über die kostenlos verfügbare App können 128 Presets aufgerufen werden. Außerdem mit an Bord ist ein Interface um sein Spiel direkt über ein USB-Kabel aufnehmen zu können.
Das kleinste Modell ist der Practice-Amp V 20 mit 20 Watt Leistung, einem 8-Zoll-Lautsprecher und einer übersichtlichen und unkomplizierten Bedienoberfläche. Das nächstgrößere Modell, der V 30, biete 30 Watt Leistung, einen 8-Zoll-Full-Range-Lautsprecher und Anschlussmöglichkeiten für Fußschalter, USB und iPhone/iPad. Noch etwas mehr bietet der 60 Watt starke V 60 mit 10-Zoll-Lautsprecher. Hier finden sich zusätzlich ein 60 Sekunden Looper und ein eingebauter Wireless Receiver, der es ermöglicht mit dem separat erhältlichen Relay G10T kabellos über den Amp Gitarre zu spielen. Außerdem kann hier das digitale Footboard FBV 3 angeschlossen werden. Die Spitze der neuen Spider-Modelle bilden der V 120 und V 240 mit für jede Location ausreichende 120 bzw. 240 Watt. Verbaut sind hier 12-Zoll-Lautsprecher, im V 240 sogar gleich zwei, was eine Stereoausgabe ermöglicht. Auf der Rückseite beider Modelle finden sich XLR Direct Outs für unkomplizierte Anschlussmöglichkeiten im Studio und auf der Bühne.
Line 6. Hardly any name is more associated with modeling and innovative sound design than the Californian sound company. The brand took off with the famous red “bean”, the Line 6 Pocket POD , in the early 2000s. This meant that musicians could suddenly access a wide range of amplifier model and effect sounds in the recording studio without having to set up complex setups and microphones. “Modelling” suddenly found itself in the mainstream, found on almost every studio console or delivered sounds to headphones at home. At session , the POD series is still a top seller today, adding new features such as improved sound, significantly more amp models and hundreds of effects in every generation, POD 2.0, POD XT, POD HD500. Current models like the Line 6 POD GO also offer the option of using multiple rigs at the same time and playing complex sounds with multiple amplifiers and effects at the same time.
For professionals , Line 6 expanded the product portfolio in 2015 to include Helix, a type of high-end POD with endless options for precisely adjusting the perfect sounds. With professional routing options, displays on the footswitches to show the current setup and the most realistic sound in LINE 6 history to date, the Helix can still be found on stages and in studios around the world today. With the Helix LT, a reduced model with fewer features, and the HX Stomp , a very compact, cheaper version, the Californians later expanded the range to include slimmed-down versions for smaller budgets. HX Effects rounds off the Helix series with a pure effects module without amplifier sounds and is extremely popular at session !
