The Lakewood A-14 Bass from the 2024 edition is a four-string shortscale acoustic bass with real premium equipment. The top of the auditorium bass is made of AAA European spruce and the bottom and sides are made of mahogany. To make it particularly easy for you to access the higher tones, the A-14 Bass has a cutaway . An ebony fretboard sits atop the sturdy Cedro neck and is decorated with a mother-of-pearl bass clef inlay on the 12th fret. With a neck width of 44 mm and its short 630 mm scale length with neck-body transition at the 12th fret, the A-14 bass is suitable for a variety of playing techniques and sits comfortably in your hand.
The Gotoh GB350 tuning machines in chrome optics always ensure a perfect tuning. The Lakewood A-14 Bass has an open-pore, satin finish so that the wood can vibrate better and you can feel the grain of your bass exactly.
For the perfect sound on the amplifier , the Lakewood A-14 is equipped with an LR Baggs Anthem pickup system; the control panel is located in the sound hole of the instrument. Due to its compact dimensions , this bass is also perfect for traveling and performing and is delivered in a high-quality and sturdy Lakewood gig bag.

Since 2014, it has been possible to have your instrument entirely from local wood and thus have a truly sustainable instrument built.
