Lakewood Western Guitars

Since 1986 the Gießen-based Lakewood guitar workshop, founded by Martin Seeliger, has stood for the highest standards in guitar-making. The Western guitars shine through their craftsmanship, superb playability and wonderful tone. While Lakewood initially built almost exclusively dreadnought models, there is now a wide choice of body shapes such as Jumbo and Grand Concert. Lakewood is happy to accommodate individual wishes via its Custom Shop, so that everyone ends up satisfied. With deep knowledge of the professional and artful making of guitars, Lakewood Guitars in Gießen have been crafting high-quality western guitars for almost 30 years. Instruments are built with the utmost precision, combining new technologies and proven traditions to deliver tone, aesthetics and build quality that meet the highest demands.

In addition to the series models, the Lakewood Custom Shop is very popular. Here you can configure your own individual instrument with the help of the "Lakewood Gitarren Designers". Lakewood is happy to support you from planning to the construction of the instrument, offering valuable advice when choosing from the many configuration options and helping you decide on your dream guitar. Since 2014 it has been possible to have your instrument built entirely from native woods and thus obtain a truly sustainable instrument.
