The Ibanez RGA series was introduced in 2005 and is a modification of the original RG guitar shape, which is still popular today. The "A" in the series name represents the vaulted top . Called “Arched-Top” in English.
The RGA series electric guitars consist of a solid carved offset double cutaway body with pointed horns . It's based on the Super Strat style RG body, but with a solid, arched top. The series began as pure Prestige hardtail models, but was expanded to include non-Prestige models in 2009 and models with tremolo and wider pitch range in 2010.
Most electric guitars from the RGA series have a mahogany body and are equipped with two active humbucker pickups and an active preamplifier .
The most important features of the Ibanez RGA series:
- RGA form
- arched top
- big cutaway
- Wizard guitar neck
The Japanese instrument manufacturer Ibanez can look back on a long tradition in guitar and bass building. While Ibanez initially stood out with idiosyncratic copies of traditional models from manufacturers such as Gibson and Fender , independent series gradually came onto the market, such as the Iceman, JEM, Artcore and RG. In the 1980s, the manufacturer made a name for itself, especially in the heavy sector, with its instruments that shone with modern features, individual design and excellent playability. Innovations such as the 7- and 8-string guitars, which emerged from the fruitful collaboration with artists such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Meshuggah, did the rest to establish Ibanez 's good reputation. Today the manufacturer offers an extensive range, ranging from entry-level guitars and basses to unusual custom shop models. Ibanez also knows how to impress when it comes to effects devices and amplifier model , as the classic TS9 Tubescreamer proves. With us you will find a comprehensive selection of guitars, basses, amplifiers, effects and accessories from Ibanez.
