About Line 6

Line 6. Hardly any name is more associated with modeling and innovative sound design than the Californian sound company. The brand took off with the famous red “bean”, the Line 6 Pocket POD , in the early 2000s. This meant that musicians could suddenly access a wide range of amplifier model and effect sounds in the recording studio without having to set up complex setups and microphones. “Modelling” suddenly found itself in the mainstream, found on almost every studio console or delivered sounds to headphones at home. At session , the POD series is still a top seller today, adding new features such as improved sound, significantly more amp models and hundreds of effects in every generation, POD 2.0, POD XT, POD HD500. Current models like the Line 6 POD GO also offer the option of using multiple rigs at the same time and playing complex sounds with multiple amplifiers and effects at the same time.

For professionals , Line 6 expanded the product portfolio in 2015 to include Helix, a type of high-end POD with endless options for precisely adjusting the perfect sounds. With professional routing options, displays on the footswitches to show the current setup and the most realistic sound in LINE 6 history to date, the Helix can still be found on stages and in studios around the world today. With the Helix LT, a reduced model with fewer features, and the HX Stomp , a very compact, cheaper version, the Californians later expanded the range to include slimmed-down versions for smaller budgets. HX Effects rounds off the Helix series with a pure effects module without amplifier sounds and is extremely popular at session !

But at session you will of course also find the second mainstay in the Line 6 range alongside the multi-effects pedals: amplifier model.
Line 6 Modeling didn't begin in pedal form, but first reached musicians as a kind of all-in-one amplifier model, the AxSYS 212, which included a variety of classic amp tones, from clean to metal. These roots later gave rise to classics such as the Line 6 VETTA II, but also an absolute entry-level top seller: the Spider! Today, the Line 6 Spider V MkII is an absolute classic in the entry-level amplifier sector and offers great sound for a reasonable amount of money for home, music school, rehearsal room or the first stages, no matter what style of music.

Whether modeling amplifiers for electric guitars , multi-effects pedals or now also wireless systems for instruments for wireless use of the guitar on stage, Line 6 is and remains a standard for everyone who is looking for outstanding sound with maximum flexibility.
