Product information

An iconic form at an affordable price: Guild 's Starfire I Bass is a modern adaptation of the traditional Starfire bass that combines the features of a modern hollowbody bass. With a slim 2.4" body depth, a short 30 ¾" (781 mm) scale length and a 1 ½" (38 mm) nut width , the Starfire I Bass is a compact and affordable option for younger players or those who are want more freedom on stage. The Tune-o-matic bass bridge ensures a stable tuning and easy adjustment options, the harp tailpiece gives the bass a touch of Guild's classic aesthetic and reminds it of its role models. The Guild own hum-free BC -1 BiCoil pickup with nickel cover and Alnico 5 magnets ensure the perfect sound on the amplifier. Combined with the woody character of the semi-hollowbody tone and the volume and tone controls , these pickup allow the player to enjoy everything from modern, cutting bass sounds to soft, round Vintage sounds . By pulling the volume control, the push-pull Vintage switches can be activated - a function that provides more presence with lowered bass and is reminiscent of the parallel pickup configuration of Vintage hollowbody basses.
