The Player II Modified Active Precision Bass neck is designed for fast, smooth playability, from the modern "C" neck profile with a satin urethane finish on the back to the comfortable 9.5" radius rosewood or one‑piece maple fretboard with smooth rolled edges and 20 medium‑jumbo frets. The alder body delivers classic Fender punch and is available in a range of exciting new finishes.
The Player II Noiseless PJ pickups provide classic Fender tone while eliminating unwanted noise, and the new active preamp with active/passive tone control and upgraded EQ section gives you the perfect tool to dial in your favourite sounds. The 4‑saddle HiMass bridge, tapered‑shaft tuners and TUSQ nut ensure incredibly stable tuning, even during your most demanding performances.

Fender has built in the player‑beloved improvements that were partly used in the previous Player Plus series: from factory‑fitted Noiseless pickups to locking tuners, giving these guitars and basses a more modern sound, greater tonal versatility and improved performance.
Based on Fender's best‑selling Player II line, the Fender Player II Modified series raises the bar for musicians who expect more. This series includes Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass models in four‑ and five‑string configurations and combines Noiseless pickups, locking tuners and upgraded hardware to take an already exceptional range of guitars and basses to the next level.
For musicians who would normally modify their instrument to improve tone, playability and performance, these instruments come factory‑fitted with the most sought‑after upgrades — no modifications required.
