Fender American Vintage II 1954 MN 2-Color Sunburst

The Fender® American Vintage II series is not only visually based on the historical designs that have made music history. Many period-typical details have been reproduced exactly: bodies, necks and hardware , premium finishes and pickups that are carefully tailored to the tone of the original model year. Thanks to traditional Fender craftsmanship, each instrument embodies the authentic character and sound of the original model.

At the beginning it had a lot in common with the Telecaster®, for example the large Tele® headstock, the slab body or the chrome control panel. But by 1954 the P-Bass® emancipated itself and got its own bold, contoured design that was more in the direction of the Stratocaster®. The American Vintage II 1954 Precision Bass matches the sound and feel of the original. It is available in Vintage Blonde or 2-Color Sunburst, each with a single-layer white pickguard on the ash body. In order to create the classic Fender playing feel, the bass was given the period-typical solid maple neck in '54 C profile with 7.25" fretboard radius and Vintage tall frets, as well as a pure Vintage bridge with two vulcanized fiber string saddles, open reverse tuner, a thumb rest and of course the '54 Single-Coil Precision Bass® pickup.

Fender American Vintage II

The successful Fender American Vintage series is entering its second round. The Fender® American Vintage II series is not only visually based on the historical designs that have made music history. Many period-typical details have also been exactly reproduced: bodies, necks and hardware , premium finishes and pickups that are carefully tailored to the tone of the original model year. Thanks to traditional Fender craftsmanship, each instrument embodies the authentic character and sound of the original model.

So far you'll mainly find old acquaintances in this series : Strats and Teles from the '50s, '60s and '70s - and yes, with the '73 Stratocaster there is now a Strat with a large headstock and bullet in the American Vintage II series for the first time -Trussrod!
