All the info to help you decide

Im November 1950 wurde dem ersten Fender Modell, der Esquire, ein zweiter Tonabnehmer am Hals hinzugefügt. Das neu entstandene Modell erhielt den Namen Broadcaster und avancierte zum ersten Fender-Modell, das in größeren Stückzahlen produziert wurde und historische Bedeutung erlangte. Der Name Broadcaster war jedoch kurzlebig und musste nach Beanstandung durch die Firma Gretsch, die den Namen bereits damals für verschiedene Schlagzeugprodukte verwendete, geändert werden. 

Etwa von Februar bis August 1951 benutze Fender die Namens- und Logoaufkleber für die Kopfplatten weiter, schnitt jedoch die Bezeichnung Broadcaster ab. Diese No-Name-Gitarren, die den Spitznamen Nocaster erhielten, sind aufgrund der kurzen Produktionsspanne sehr selten und werden unter Sammlern heute zu astronomischen Preisen gehandelt.
