About the artist
Joe Bonamassa needs no introduction; his career is certainly unique. He learned to play guitar from his father, who owned a music shop, at the age of four. By the time he was twelve he was already playing with B. B. King, and at 14 he was invited to perform at a Fender event. After a period in a band he launched a solo career. His debut album, A New Day Yesterday, was released in 2000. Following a concert tour to promote the album, Bonamassa and his bandmates returned to the studio in 2002 to record the next album, So It’s Like That. The second album is more rock-oriented than his other works and reached number one on the Billboard Blues charts. Over the following years and albums, Joe and his band toured with B. B. King and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. In 2010 Joe Bonamassa joined Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian to form the band Black Country Communion, which has released five albums to date. Joe is not only a gifted guitarist but also a passionate collector of guitars.

Famous guitarist Joe Bonamassa is also a world-class guitar collector. One of his most valuable acquisitions is a 1963 Gibson SG Custom with some unusual features, including a uniquely smooth contoured neck joint and a Dark Wine Red finish — a rarity for this model and year. The Joe Bonamassa 1963 SG Custom from Epiphone is a faithful replica of his unique guitar. It features the same smooth neck contour, a Maestro Vibrola vibrato, classic SG Custom appointments, gold-plated hardware and three powerful Epiphone Pro Bucker pickups. It comes with a custom hardshell case with golden lining and Epiphone and Joe Bonamassa graphics on the exterior, as well as a certificate of authenticity.
