Electro Harmonix Pico Attack Decay Tape reverb Sim.
The original Attack Decay Tape Reverse Simulator is known for producing volume and reverse swells, backwards tape sounds and artificially shortened staccato tones. In 2019 the digital Attack Decay reissue was released, and now the Pico Attack Decay offers volume-envelope effects in a simplified, compact enclosure.
With the Pico Attack Decay you can set volume swells and decays, both in Mono mode — a single volume envelope for all the notes you play — and in the revolutionary Poly mode, where each note has its own volume envelope, producing cascading swell effects and leads with flexible attack smoothing. With intuitive functionality and simple controls, the Pico Attack Decay opens creative possibilities for any player who wants to push the (volume) envelope.
The Pico Attack Decay is both powerful and simple, with its four knobs and a Mode button that let you create a wide variety of effects. The ATTACK knob sets the swell or fade-in speed of the volume envelope, while the DECAY knob determines the fade-out rate of the envelope. Turning up the ATTACK gives a smooth volume swell. For artificial staccato notes and synth-like punches, turn the DECAY up. SENS controls the threshold for triggering the envelope. VOL adjusts the overall output level. A hidden BLEND control allows mixing wet and dry signals for even more tonal flexibility.
