Product information

The alder body is paired with a bolt-on maple neck that features two graphite reinforcing bars to resist bending and warping under environmental influences. The Speed Neck profile is designed for lightning-fast playing and completely unhindered position changes, while the comfortably rolled fingerboard edges give the well-rehearsed feel of an instrument that has had many hours of playing behind it and many more to come. The 12"-16" Compound Radius Pau Ferro fretboard with 22 jumbo frets and cream dot inlays is perfect for faster tempos. For musicians who tour regularly, truss rod access to adjust the truss rod at the base of the neck is a must, allowing for quick and convenient adjustment of neck relief.

The powerful Seymour Duncan JB and Seymour Duncan '59 humbucking pickup are mounted directly on the body and provide a powerful rock 'n' roll tone with lots of sweet overtones. A volume control and 3-way switches make this ax a straightforward instrument for players who need to quickly adjust their sound . With the Floyd Rose 1000 Series Double-Locking tremolo bridge system you can dive into a wide variety of pitches without affecting your tuning .

About Charvel

Charvel began as a guitar repair shop in Southern California in the late 1970s. This became known because not only guitars were repaired there, but many more popular models such as the Fender Stratocaster were modified and converted into so-called Superstrats . These guitars were particularly well received in the metal scene of the 1980s. When Grover Jackson joined the company in 1978, he quickly began releasing his own guitars under the Charvel name. Until 1986, all Charvel guitars were produced exclusively in California, but to meet high demand, production eventually moved to Japan. In 2002, Fender acquired both Charvel and Jackson from the Japanese company IMC, which purchased the two companies from Grover Jackson in 1989.

Today Charvel produces a number of different series of guitars in both the USA and Mexico . When it comes to Charvel 's individual series, everyone will find a suitable instrument. Charvel 's range can mainly be divided into three different categories, which can then be divided into several subgroups. These categories are the DK (also called Dinky) series, the So-Cal and the San Dimas . The characteristics of the guitars can sometimes be difficult to distinguish. The DK or Dinky series , as the name suggests, are smaller and lighter than the other series. This makes playing for longer periods much more pleasant. The difference between So-Cal and San Dimas is a little harder to define as both ranges come in 2 styles . Both the So-Cal and the San Dimas are available as ST guitars and T guitars . At first glance, they differ mainly in that the San Dimas guitars do not have a pickguard (“most”), and they also differ minimally in the construction / acoustic of the body and in the possible selection of pickups. All Charvel series and styles are also available as Pro-Mod models, which are guitars specially modified for performance optimization.

But Charvel is not satisfied with this huge selection and, in addition to acustom shop, also has signature models from artists such as Jim Root and Jake E. Lee . There is also USA Select. These are handcrafted guitars from the custom shop in Corona California . One thing can be said, no matter which Charvel guitar you choose, you will receive a quality instrument that you will have fun with for many years.

In addition to electric guitars, Charvel also builds excellent electric basses with the San Dimas Bass PJ and JJ series . The basses come with a mix of DiMarzio and Charvel's own pickups and ensure a really good sound.
